Welcome to the New and Improved Website

Although that seems like an oxymoron, the New and Improved Vintage Americana is live. More or less.

It does constantly surprise me to note just how quickly the trends in coding move. And, while I love all things vintage – nobody loves 1990’s animated gifs. Nor other older style choices for websites.

I had been using a theme that I’d had, but I’ve opted to update to one that is cleaner, more secure, and hopefully easier for you all to use.

The only fly in the ointment is that the theme won’t display the embedded player on the front page unless I upload the episode onto my server. Doing that every week is going to very quickly eat up my server space. I’ll see if I can’t figure out a way to tweak it to display the current player that links to my podcast host.

In the meantime – what do you think of the new digs?
